Make a Donation to the Family of Detective Amber Leist: The Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) is coordinating donations to the family of Detective Amber Leist.
Detective Leist was off-duty on Whitsett Avenue and Riverside Drive when she saw an elderly pedestrian fall in a crosswalk. She got out of her vehicle to assist the pedestrian safely cross the street and was struck by a vehicle while returning to her car. Detective Leist is survived by two sons, one of which is serving in the Navy.

All donations to the ALADS CARES Foundation between 1/14/2020 and 2/14/2020 will be for Detective Leist’s family.
